TrendForce released its latest memory market forecast. DRAM and NAND flash contract prices will keep rising in Q4 2026, yet the growth rate will cool down compared with previous quarters.
Memory makers keep shifting advanced production capacity toward server DRAM and HBM for AI servers. Server DRAM remains in short supply, supported by strong buying demands from cloud service providers. General DRAM contract prices are expected to go up 10%–15% quarter-on-quarter. NAND flash contract prices will rise 15%–20% quarter-on-quarter.
The consumer PC market stays weak. Even so, PC OEMs are placing orders in advance, because they expect PC DRAM supply may shrink further in 2027. Factories will continue to allocate more wafer capacity to server products, leaving less capacity for desktop and notebook memory.
Different memory segments show big differences. Server memory has the strongest price growth. Consumer memory prices still increase, but the speed becomes slower.
